NAES, the management company operating NEP Hazleton Energy called  American Coating Technologies to repair the XR-5 liner on the berms due to failure from typical UV exposure. The XR-5 had begun to disintigrate on the berms yet still maintained some integrity under the pea gravel at the base. ACT Pulled back the gravel at the base of the berm and, as in many cases, used one of our proprietay epoxy primers to prepare the existing liner for adhearing our polyurea liner to it. This process of binding our polyurea liner to virtually any existing liner allows for us to repair any situation which arises in secondary containment fields. We trenched the top of the berm to secure the liner from wind uplift and tied into each corner. NEP Hazelton now has a berm covering which will last for years to come.   Our unique process creates a monolithic liner system which comes with a ten year warranty.
